Notice for the combined entrance exam of the first year honors (Bachelor’s) of the universities under GST (General, Science & Technology) cluster for the academic year 2023-24
Students who have passed the SSC/equivalent in 2019, 2020, or 2021, and the HSC/equivalent, Diploma-in-Commerce under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board’s HSC (Vocational), A Levels, or any other equivalent exams (subject to equivalence determination) can apply for the admission test.
Requirement
Students from the Science, Humanities, and Commerce streams who have passed their HSC/equivalent exams and meet the specified qualifications can apply to Unit A, Unit B, and Unit C, respectively. The eligibility for application based on the unit is as follows:
Unit-A: Applicants from the Science stream must have a minimum GPA of 3.50 in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams (including the 4th subject) with a total GPA of at least 8.00. Science stream from the General Education Board, Madrasa Board (Science), and Vocational (HSC) will be considered for this unit.
Unit-B: Applicants from the Humanities stream must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams (including the 4th subject) with a total GPA of at least 6.00. Humanities stream from the General Education Board, including Music, Home Economics, and Madrasa Board (General, Mujabbid) will be considered for this unit.
Unit-C: Applicants from the Commerce stream must have a minimum GPA of 3.00 in both SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent exams (including the 4th subject) with a total GPA of at least 6.50. Commerce stream from the General Education Board, Diploma in Business Studies, Business Management (HSC), and Diploma in Commerce will be considered for this unit.
For GCE, at least 3 subjects with grade B and pass in 5 subjects in IGCSE (O Level) and at least 2 subjects with grade B and pass in 3 subjects in IAL (A Level) are required. In this case, the relevant transcript must be uploaded online and upon application, equivalence and eligibility will be determined and approved by the concerned committee.
Application Procedure
The method to apply for the combined entrance exam of the universities under the GST cluster can be found on the website (www.gstadmission.ac.bd).
Exam Schedule: May 20, May 27, and June 3, 2024.
Application Schedule: Students can choose only one exam center from the list provided on the admission website. The chosen center will be considered final and cannot be changed.
Admission Test Results
Each unit’s results will be published on the website (www.gstadmission.ac.bd). A minimum of 30 marks is required in the admission test. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Only students who participate in the GST cluster combined admission test and meet the eligibility criteria can apply to the preferred university.
The decision of the “Combined Admission Committee of GST Cluster Universities (2023-2024)” will be considered final regarding any matters related to the admission test.
